When I started Pacific Ghost Productions in Northwest Oregon the focus of intent was to be wildlife and archery hunt films with a touch of reality. I had also intended these films to be inspirational as well as educational to hunters and outdoor photographers of all ages. This last year while on a fishing trip with my video camera near my home town I experienced a low water day where salmon were thick and on the move. I have fished for many years and held an Oregon guide license for a time as well but this day would prove to be different. On this day I was packing my fly rod and targeting the fish as they moved upstream like I had always done. After 6 hours of great fishing and video I decided to return again for the next few days and then continue to follow these salmon as they moved into the upper river areas. PGP's "Action Short Films" series was born of this unforgettable week and thus moved PGP into the realm of outdoor angling films. A few months later I also started editing loose video to create various short clips for education based angling content. To our amazement people starting watching and sending letters telling me that they like what they see and they want more! I decided that I would add our angling ventures into the Pacific Ghost Productions line-up permanently. We have gained thousands of viewers since. So now what does the future hold for Pacific Ghost Productions? The Pacific Northwest has many opportunities to hunt and fish so I will always be on the lookout for the next great film.
In 2008 we are creating a new angling information web network with over 50 top level domains with its own fourm board and video series that will be conservation minded to help the future of Northwest fisheries through the power of education. If your an avid angler your going to want to bookmark the SSSF site because this is going to be huge! Our spotting scopes will also be looking North into Alaska in the coming years with projects being filmed for a new series as soon as August of this year! There are no fees to enjoy quality educational Northwest angling videos here and we are always looking for sponsors who are interested in helping us continue while showing off their quality Northwest products, services, and lodging. We never stop the development here.
