CAMPING ON THE CLACKAMAS: The river and lakes above the town of Estacada are littered with good camp sites. Milo McIver state park offers improved camping near the town of Estacada. On the upper river you can find plenty of good campgrounds all the way up to the Collowash river. Timothy and Harriet lakes also have improved campgrounds. Many of the campgrounds have a mix of reserved sites and first come first serve sites. It is recommended you reserve your sites if your to come on a weekend during the summer. Whitewater rafting is very popular on this river during the summer months. All campgrounds are hosted.
