The hard fighting Spring Chinook is considered to be the finest eating salmon there is. Anuall runs occure from the Sacramento River in California North to the Canadian border. Perhaps the strongest runs are those that occure in the Rouge River and in the Columbia River in Oregon. Considered for special protection in many locations, it is important for all of us who enjoy this fine fish to get involved in fisheries conservation issues.
